Anger Management Assessment & Treatment
A clear assessment-to-treatment pathway for clients in the Greater Cleveland area.
TKC Turning Point provides structured anger management assessment and treatment for individuals referred by probation officers, courts, attorneys, employers, and other professionals. Voluntary clients who want help managing anger and conflict are also welcome.
Our goal is to give each client—and the professional referring them—a clearly defined process. Treatment recommendations are individualized with our counselors having direct Anger Management experience.

How the Anger Management Process Works
- Complete new-client registration. TKC gathers the information needed to begin services and communicate appropriately with the referral source.
- Schedule the Anger Management Assessment. The assessment examines the referral circumstances, anger patterns, triggers, consequences, coping skills, motivation for change, and relevant safety or behavioral concerns.
- Receive an individualized recommendation. TKC determines whether anger management treatment is appropriate and recommends the level and duration of intervention.
- Attend the weekly treatment group. Clients recommended for group treatment attend the dedicated Anger Management Treatment Group on Mondays from 7:00–8:00 p.m. Sessions are $60 each.
- Complete treatment requirements. Completion is based on the individualized treatment plan, attendance, participation, payment, and demonstrated engagement with treatment goals.
- Receive appropriate documentation. With a valid written authorization, TKC may provide attendance verification, progress information, recommendations, and completion documentation to the referring professional.
Anger Management Assessment
The clinical Anger Management Assessment is the entry point for new and court-referred clients. The assessment fee is $180.
Areas considered may include:
- The presenting incident and reason for referral
- Frequency, intensity, and consequences of anger
- Personal triggers, warning signs, and escalation patterns
- Impulse control and emotional regulation
- Communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Responsibility, insight, and readiness for change
- Relationship, family, employment, and legal consequences
- Substance use or mental-health concerns that may affect behavior
- Threat, violence, and other safety concerns
- The appropriate level and duration of intervention
Completing an assessment does not guarantee a particular recommendation. TKC bases recommendations on the information available and the client’s individual circumstances.

What Referral Professionals Can Expect

- Confirmation that the client scheduled or completed an assessment
- The treatment recommendation
- Attendance verification
- Clinically appropriate progress information
- Notice of significant noncompliance or interruption of services, when authorized and appropriate
- Completion documentation after requirements have been satisfied
TKC protects client privacy and only releases information consistent with applicable authorization and confidentiality requirements.
Important Program Expectations
Purchasing an assessment or attending one treatment session does not constitute completion of an anger management program. Clients must satisfy the requirements identified in their individualized treatment plan before completion documentation can be issued.
Enrollment does not guarantee successful completion, a specific court disposition, reduced supervision, dismissal of charges, or any other legal outcome. Courts and referring authorities determine whether documentation satisfies their requirements.
Refer a New Client
Probation officers and other referral professionals may direct new clients to this page. The client should begin by scheduling the Anger Management Assessment.
