Secondary prevention . . .
Secondary prevention is a treatment modality that includes self-diagnosis and professional assessment. It intervenes upon the client who is experiencing early warning signs and symptoms of chemical dependency. The 6-12 hour program includes the following:
Lecture series on all aspects of chemical dependency presented by professional chemical dependency counselors Pre-test and post-test questionnaire Self-evaluation through weekly substance abuse screening tools development of self-awareness in regard to chemical use as a problem Upon completion of the program, the client will receive recommendations for follow-up care
Alcohol & Drug Diversion Program
(ADDP) . . .
The ADDP program, an outpatient treatment modality at Terrence Kelleman Counseling, features
three levels of care:
1) Low intensity – 12 hours
2) Mid-level intensity – 24 hours
3) Intensive – 36 hours
Each selection is tailored to the needs of the individual in which the client focuses upon his/her own accountability. This is a major component of the program at TKC. The following are topics that are discussed:

We all experience feelings of anger. It is how we express or don’t express these feelings that often leads to troubling behavior. The anger group/lecture series addresses issues related to anger, addiction and recovery. Clients become aware of personality type, anger triggers, and alternate ways to handle anger.
